This feature piece aims to do just that, highlighting our involvement with the construction of the MCAS Cherry Point’s Mainside Pool.

The Construction of Cherry Point’s Mainside Pool

Like any project we undertake, the planning and construction of Cherry Point’s Mainside Pool was a highly collaborative process. Designing, building, constructing, and engineering a facility like the Mainside Pool is a team effort. Together, with a team of highly experienced professionals, we were able to achieve the goals laid out for us by Cherry Point. The team on this project was:

• The Architect: NAVFAC

• The Aquatic Designer: Counsilman-Hunsaker 

• The Mechanical Engineer: HDR Engineering Inc. 

What Paddock Pool Equipment was Used

How Cherry Point is Using the Mainside Pool

Since it’s opening, the Mainside Pool has been a crucial part of the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. The facility is used by active duty units, their families, and guests throughout the week. Active duty units can also schedule use time at the pool for things like physical therapy, water polo, swimming, or AMPIT. The implementation of the Mainside Pool is work that we’re immensely proud to have been a part of.
